okay we're going to call this meeting together call this meeting to order School Board of Education Community High School District 218 board meeting for the month of January and we are at the District Administrative Center and the secretary would you please take a roll fall Miss hunt this role I am present is you Christian is present Miss Collier unfortunately had a passing at her customer at her family as we have to say the Pledge of Allegiance I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America thank you brings us down to agenda item number for is resolutions and commendations and that's what a lot of people are here this evening who was the island it has been the policy of the Board of Education to resent resolutions of commendation to staff students computer to members who have excelled academically and athletically professionally or in their service to others tonight we first recognize Eisenhower Junior under the vet and Senior a.j. Abrams just call Andres you produce a season full of achieving for the varsity football team will play a key role in helping the Cardinals qualify for the ihsa playoffs for the fourth straight season and the program first a home playoff game since 2015 and advanced to the second round of the class 6A playoffs when they nearly upset top-seeded King panel area football team all South Suburban team in Illinois high school football coaches association class 6A All-State team congratulations Andre and AJ and I believe Coach perfume thank you for having us tonight you know to great football players but I think most importantly from two great young families couldn't ask for two better student-athletes represent Eisenhower Eisenhower football AJ right here he's a basketball player he was the conference player of the year last year as a junior and he hadn't play High School football in every year I was trying to get him out trying to get him out and he finally came out and Senior year 18 touchdowns 1,300 yards receiving right in the middle of of making a decision for the night table salt AJ monkey work this year man it. Select next Andre love it here for us again when we talked about our program we always talk about character academics and football and Andre is exactly that he's up for five everything we want in a student-athlete kid he's got 15 Division 1 at the table salt under a great season open on Sundays let's go Cardinals our superintendent used to play football too but he looks a little small next we recognize coach Jim jet wrinkle and time Garrity and the man Bentley this fall when their fourth straight South Suburban Conference Red Division championships Juniors and sophomores and we're Conference champions as well Mesa bail bond in Payne Whitney will also have to share this with a perfect score at the end of the night the Astros won 11 of the 14 events and the seniors and celebrated their fourth straight, congratulations to everyone and I believe yes I would like to thank everybody for having us here and thank you for the recognition these students represent our seniors and I chose them to come because they were part of all four they're going to be really their accomplishment can be matched but it will never be beat because nobody else can win four in a row or more than four in a row I should say and I like it's kind of run like a track meet where you at 14 different events and our school took 11 out of those 14 all of conference champions each time I and the other the other three be there picky or just barely missed out on these guys were have been to practice either before or after school on Tuesdays for all four years and they're consistent in their there and that's the reason why they win is because they work at it and have a good time with it and we have a great time doing it together and I will always remember this group of seniors as the first group that'll ever do it only tonight we recognize Eisenhower Senior Miguel go to York Miguel the race to the top of the senior class recently learned that he is wonderful speech what's frigid Ward and attend to this Rice University Harvard and the University of Chicago congratulations Miguel the board of education for all those receiving a award this evening we are honored you and applaud you for all your hard work and we thank you we have a long jendiz tonight maybe someone shorter than normal but I'm sure you don't want to sit through the whole meeting so I can we when do we need to approve your work first before you leave that would be right now and you may believe so I need a motion on the floor to accept the recognition as red as would you please take a roll let's roll. reports by board members are there any reports the finance committee we met last week on the 10th and it was Nora myself Tony trash so we we are went through quite a few things I wanted since I want to mention was there is was a they have met the District administration has been meeting with the members of the co-op of Eisenhower they were proposing or they are proposing some expansion because just like everywhere else there a space you know what it's all schools are out of space so as the district you know they raised concerns about the class because members responded and agreement that keeps the coop going but it is I think everybody was pretty happy with where things landed and I'm here to be meeting again end of the month so I'm sure Josh and Sue will have some more details on for the next meeting hopefully about you know the actual plans and construction look like in the timeline both kinds of things go that was a big thing that we talked about and hold on I'm going to pull up the agenda because there was a lot that we talked about we just talked about you know of those funds from the peace house until it was mentioned in Tony's this is an urgent report and I don't know if anybody has any questions about that because we have some history of you know that money and we decided to do as a board with that and what is recommendation for but as the committee if anyone has any questions you know you can refer to Tony about know the specifics he also went through I will say they created his office they created a very comprehensive calendar on the budget creating extras budget and in March to meet with all the different departments through you know the needs and the goal is we we will meet at committee again in April and see where the progress is hopefully have a tentative budget in June and if we can't approve after we posted if we if we don't have a point of approving it in August after we eat we did talk about the audit and it wasn't just us they were behind and getting the information but since we met last week so far and we're we're reviewing that as one of their key wave we should have it next week but next week at least we'll have it to you to be able to view it and look at it we always would have somebody from from The Firm common present to the board and then it hasn't had to be so tight dress version of about and then we just talked about meeting again in April like I said and then we'll meet again in June to go over that tentative budget so again and Tony in his office to do a great job at 4. they're doing a great job, any concern please make it before next Friday if you can okay because we want to go ahead with posting for compositions if that's the reason why I add time is of the essence and we do at the interview and mouthful of positions when I hear the word restructuring our district went through structuring my first Lightyear to teaching and so is this like a full District. okay I was just going to call tonight that's what I think when I hear restart so that's why I just had to ask really quick to get your attention I don't like the first two years in the district but I'm sorry to take it home look at it and if you have concerns call the superintendent it is pretty simple.
