okay because the board wasn't given to the board for a vote and it should be given to the board when you eat when you are going to change direction it should be given to the board so they can do their research they can discuss it they can debate it and then vote on it and if that was done they would have found out that the mask should not a mask on everybody should not be and that's what I'ma if so anyway with you yesterday also you should be receiving hopefully a letter from his be apologizing for their overreach and their misinterpretation interpretation of their Authority on this subject it's not a law they don't there is no law that gives them the authority to do what they did the superintendent's B and then to send the letter to to all the superintendent in Illinois so we asked them to send an apology in a clarification and hopefully you'll get that soon there was a a law that would give them that power a lot trying to be past it's not past yet if it did pass or does pass then they would have that Authority they don't have it now so you don't need to follow what they're doing or what they're insisting you do and take away your recognition is a school and take away funding that's fall so that's what you're hearing that's false and if you do your research and discuss it and debate it and then vote on it you'll know and these Mass anyway they're not good for anybody so that's the things that are happening here and I I cannot believe that we are still sleeping or pushing the agenda of critical race Theory with pushing the  education we're pushing the masking dividing over children the next thing they're going to do I have a child I have two kids he's in third grade and but by the time he's going to get so High School nothing's going to be done I don't want to see him being injected at school because this I should not happen and this country I believe a lot of foreign people come here for the freedom and I cannot believe that the natural born citizen do not see that this country is turning into, we need to send up if it takes us the Forints to wake up the people who are born into this country I will do it I will keep showing two other school board meetings because we've been doing it and we will do it we will not stop fighting until the people have the guts to stand up to the people like you because you have the power you have that power to stop this So the hair stylist saw these clients for 15 minutes at a time and that's what they're basing this off of they're basing it off of a household in Korea with a Thailand with 824 households with one confirmed case again those people are locked in the room not around the other people that's what the base in the mass off there was a study done as many as studies done is just one of them from the University of Copenhagen adapter hunting Bona guard where he did 6,000 people $3,000 - $3,000 out of that there was only a difference of 3% of people catching covid so out of the people wearing masks 42 people caught covid out of people not wearing mask 53 masks are going to stay it's one micron there's no way I'm asking going to stop there unless you're wearing and then 95 specialized Mass that's fitted to your face by a professional which I have co-workers that did that their eyes are bloodshot and now they've been bloodshot red for the last four months they have trouble breathing cuz they keep these messages are so afraid afraid of what a flu cuz I had it it's just the flu I work in the jail the doctor do not recommend the inmates wear the masks lot around the tears what you want to force my children to wear masks that have allergies it's ridiculous and then you're going to kick my kids out of school because they're disabled cuz they can't wear a mask all day 5 year old gets migraines when he wears these masks migraines he's starting school will now he can't cuz he can't get the face shield because you people won't allow it it's ridiculous who cares about the kids with disabilities right think about it child abuse you don't think we're going to have enough parents to do a lawsuit against all of you cuz that's what's going to happen 45,000 people sign petition that was just the one that knew about there's over a hundred thousand people in this thing we will have lawyers and you will be soon individually because you are not acting on any powers you are welcome did my doctor real from her letter where she's abusing title 43 you think that's going to stand in court you think when you go to court with Doctor Alice sent me this letter saying I had to do this no she said she recommends it we're coming after you it's it is there anybody in the audience to speak on masks this evening okay we will consider that subject closed at this time and I believe this gentleman the Master Mason oh you do to support the community and a spoon I have just a very simple thing really that's evening to talk to you about it so concerned I have around Public Safety and the use of school property this evening if we were to walk out to the softball fields we would see a number or private organizations using those fields and violate your policy around alcohol use in fact if you would go out there Stephen standing underneath the sign that says no alcohol with a beer in their hand this is something that happens repeatedly things happening tonight tonight when there is an Oak Lawn Police Officer sitting there in the parking lot these private organizations are using your facilities with impunity I'm breaking your rule I'm here today to ask you to do what we would do if that was one of our students rights in such a role and that's gives 10-day suspension suspend these organizations from using public property and is violating District Rules by doing so and so that we're sending a message through about what is right and proper and these organizations do this over and over and over again this bunch of people driving so there's a lot of drinking and driving going on this is opening the district up to potential liability so I'd like you to go ahead and consider whatever grievance you have with these private organizations to use these fields and hold them accountable to the rules that you have so and thank you for your time this evening thank you sir are there any other people that want to make a comment at this time I would at this time I would consider public comments quote the agenda item number 6 is board members an opportunity to respond to the public and or or drummers comments do any board members want respond or ever, at this time the present I have a few talents tonight first I'd like to address for Mason but what is the disgusting is basically talking about Saint Catherine of Alexandria parents and in men's club and their members are our community and I was baptized made my first communion at Saint Catherine Robin in Des Peres in school until 4th grade in 2005 my wife and I were looking for home we decide on this neighborhood because of the parents and the community of Saint Catherine entire Oak Lawn area and I'm Claude has between 400 and 500 active members and several hundred other cast members who live in our neighborhood these private organizations are taxpayers use our facilities are men's club is never required members to be part of the parish or have a kid at st. Catherine's they can go to any public school they could be from any other Parish or any other religious in fact many of our members and a member of The Men's Club and I played in at softball league until I was like to the sport they play on Thursday night so one reason I stopped playing was because I'm at the school board and to I probably one of the worst players in the league so that also added to it those people out there playing softball contribute greatly to our community and answer strength or High School District despite the vast majority of those knots in our kids to the public schools answer the private schools in fact me study this issue before and its conservative estimates are that 1 million dollars each year, The District 218 from sink Prisoners the people are playing softball at least filled the Lawn Manor and if you include your two million dollars that come into this route 218 I don't know mr. Mason's animus and this isn't the only meeting his hand until only government mean he's attended I don't know what is animus is towards the air says but like it or not these these neighborhoods were founded by these parishes which is why a majority of the girl from the South Side still refer to their neighborhood. Other parents names you talked the last three to four Oak Lawn Police chiefs were frequent they frequently would comment or say to you that they don't even have to police the around 2:18 or 4 Lawn Manor on Wednesday Wednesday line is play softball on Thursday when and Katherine's play softball why is that because they have a strong presence there protecting our community they're basically dads out there playing softball that our taxpayers drinking a few beers it's not against the Villa Jordans to drink beer in public it's not you can't be intoxicated but I don't think I are police officers no pain the restaurant for drinking a beer out there because if not intoxicated not thinking for them that is not my thought if they were toxic a that that's a different story The Men's Club Paris Community is what makes I will climb so desirable and hot in the real estate market people want to move into this part Oaklawn a lot of it's because of the parishes sense of community are pears has lead to higher property values for everyone even our Public School family clear the board member glad I send my kids to the public-private squash and say this is Mississippi representative senior citizen private school families Public School families everyone and the negative tone that sometimes idea needs to stop I want I like to give mr. Mason last night in Hawaii Amazon tape some stats about the men's club and what we do for the community other than maybe drink a few a few beers outside and end up in a park or it is go to school The Men's Club donated $5,000 to help families in need to send intelligent Catholic schools that they cannot financially afford the men's club hosts an annual picnic at Lawn Manor was just last Saturday it's open to everyone in the neighborhood you don't have to belong to Saint Catherine we invite everyone to come out to provide food entertainment for everybody The Men's Club also spend $6,000 or gave $6,000 to students to help them towards the high school expenses and we could share the food drive with Saint Vincent in the middle of covid-19 are there parachutes would do that The Men's Club has food drive at Thanksgiving and Easter for a Paris called Our Lady of Guadalupe and their food pantry because over six Vans for the food pantry and contacted seniors also during covid-19 Burrs throughout the area to see how they were doing do blood drives were run like I said the only person to run the blood drive I misspoke not the food drive the blood drive over the only person that would do it we did it twice and applying the third time to do it I know he only spoke mail about the alcohol but if you look it up other play it's really disparaging my Paris and I are in our community in general which I find it disgusting instead of complaining about drinking a few beers and about the parish maybe mr. Mason should bounce here homeless shelters or a fruit or a food and blood drives or bring his family to our picnic there's only so much time I have and I can't believe he would worry about drinking beer and a public place when they're not getting intoxicated I hear this over and over but it's the animosity that needs to stop I don't think I'm better than anyone else because I send my kids to a school and the public private school thing in this area needs to stop and its Downs I don't know where it stems from but as I said everyone's walking in into our men's club in to that softball league could join this because he wanted to set the bar private organizations mother and I'm not just speaking just about Saint Catherine the private organization we pay taxes and then should be using to sell these more it should be open all the time to everyone when we have when I reach out to the community I always say we need to talk to everyone in the community not just families of parents is everyone it's just very very disappointing to hear that he spoke to one issue but that's your a bigger issue if you doubt deep and you look at what he's supposed to be at the village board meeting in Oak Lawn and the park district so I wish he was here at the address I'm on that it really bothers me because the fact of all the good things that Catherines those people are playing softball out there they're doing they're basically 40 to 50 year old dad's playing softball with their kids running around at a good time as well if that's what destroys Oaklawn I think he has better things to worry about. all the things that everyone in this room spoke about those are the bigger problems in our society we need to focus on now. Let's have a few drinks at the park which isn't even against the ordinance I don't stand up here and grandstand I don't I just speak my mind I didn't run for the seat to sit here and vote Yes on everything but kind of turning into a useless way maybe school boards in general become a nuisance because what is happening in Springfield such as the governor taken away local power of the school board so maybe there's no need for us at this if we keep going down the path we're going ever know that I always speak up for but what I believe is right no matter how controversial either like me you don't like me vote me and vote me out the volunteer position you know I just try my best and wants to encourage public debate and transparency that's why I wanted on the face mask and I agree we still should have a hold on it because it still should be voted on those things I'm passionate about I stand for the national anthem the Pledge of Allegiance support our police officers I believe we are the best candidates based on their credentials and I had and I stood against the critical race theory has still stand against that that education bill on against maximum tax increases or deposit that I'm going to ask her removed from the consent agenda today so I can do the Giants and the obsession with political correctness and Other Extreme left-wing ideology that are basically invading our schools and our universities that's what happening if he wants both here tonight I agree with what fire force at 100% And I tonight I want to publicly oppose Democrat Governor JB pritzker's unilateral and basically mandate is not enforceable in my opinion through 12 schools that decision should not be made by one person be a superintendent or a governor it shouldn't happen that way while I'm against the mask mandate and believe the decision should be up to the parents my biggest complaint is really about the extra mass themselves what they said my biggest complaint is about a governor you surfing local control of education and his mistrust of local authorities we are like our school boards to it is important and difficult policy decisions if we don't have local control as I decide what's the point of us all sitting sitting here State originally said we did a vocal control but when they didn't like what certain districts were doing Governor pritzker took that away guess who stated that in his reasoning because her indifference weren't found the CDC that then I'm going to come in and take over and say I miss you in this mandate so that I think is on but not right is you interrupt you know how to roll a mandate and threat in this Ryan just said you know that I question the enforceability of those and they're basically threats that can lead to a slippery slope that's the problem with this evaristo Lopez were taken away local control whenever he doesn't like it that you're not happy with something he'll take over and that's it could happen not Beyond schools I don't like that local controls works for the app this is dangerous I'm bigger than the masked man too so thankfully it being challenged and hopefully it's successful because it's bigger than just ask the guy has constantly changing do decide about the stats you getting off work and $4 2/4 the least vulnerable to wear masks is not right stop me from putting studies as to the effectiveness of masks and the problems they caused all the downsides from wearing mask the communication with teachers and students concentration breathing issues all sorts of things we didn't Bandit masks for influenza h1912 killed way more people and we shouldn't be mandating it now I can see both sides of the issue definitely there needs to be public debate and I can't see why we wouldn't want to debate this at a local got to decide whether to wear masks or not and in the future this board to vote on important issues and if it's 6 to 1. if it's $7 with doesn't matter whatever the board as we're here to make those decisions in public and for those of you who disagree with me if I decide to run again hold me out man but I'm here to make a tough decision map to stand against the mask mandate and I'm at the troubles me along with the the bias not the bias the the negativity sometimes I receive from being a Catholic School family not my daughter is going to take the entrance exam at Marist High School in December oh no lies that you shouldn't be on the sport not sure one bit doesn't mean that District 218 schools are bad they disagree with them or I think my you know way better academic institution I just believe in a faith-based education for my kid a personal choice but I want to sit on this board to make sure we have good Public Schools strong public schools that are property that say hi and we have low taxes so tonight I kind of went off I realize that but the mask mandate drive me crazy hope that lawsuit success hopefully board stand up to the governor and he dead I like how they were there placed on probation a bunch of downstate district probation as Ms Ryan said there's no if any student comes before this board for x I'll be a no vote I'm not going to expel her discipline anyone I do realize I'm only one but there will be no repercussions coming from this these regarding the mask mandates and I think I said enough but it's I think there's a lot of people are upset about it and one way around it is an election next to June so people go to the polls and make sure you know where you're going to vote for the ticket that you think your parents hold it for cuz not same party
