having the July board meeting couple years ago the board decided to not have a July meeting pretty common actually it's 40-73 that but lots of there's not a lot to do in July there's not a lot of business usually in school but some do have meetings and last year we did have a July meeting because we are in the middle it was virtual but we were in the middle of pandemic and freaking out about everything basically there are lots of things to talk about last July so we're simply bringing it for discussion to see if the board wants to continue and have the July meeting next month or skip it as many do and meet again in August so that's really the topic here we already have the schedule in calendar but it was just a discussion on next month I make a motion to strike the July 1st and July meeting meeting list what was July 1st is that a working Mini I was going to July 1st July 9th July 19th July 15th is it working meeting on July 19th and it was a working meeting are tentative usually there are there if we have things that we need to discuss them is officially was a discussion on the July 15th take it off and we need to having a meeting and we'll just call the meeting and forget about it but if we needed to have a meeting if there was enough cancel that meeting regarding the legal basis you probably need to authorize the superintendent to pay the bills because big business districts such as yourself needs to pay your bills every week every month so they're only if you do cancel a meeting in my experience has the government often times in July the only reason municipalities are our school districts meet is to authorize payment to build you can do that I just want you to be I don't want to call me so I can so I think the voice of old can we still do that but I would what I would recommend is the normal and customary bills and July in and do that you're able to do that you trust him to be your Co that's what I would recommend you do I'm sorry only different that says that there is no budget in place yet because you have a tentative budget and just to clarify what what I would recommend if you are going to cancel the meeting in order to ensure that all the bills are paid that you authorized the superintendent along with his fellow administrators to pay the normal and customary bills and then what what to do as a board is those bills would be on the August agenda just to make into ensure that you see them is another set of eyes that you see them again that's what I would recommend motion night to cancel the Thursday July 15th 2021 meeting and authorized the superintendent to pay bills for the month of July 2021 subject to a review the August meeting so they'll be paid but just so the check and balance just on your auditor I'm not an otter your other than also want to make sure that you use then saw them if there was anything crazy cuz I don't think your superintendent would authorized you at least the other set of eyes looks at it in August well that would amend the approval of all the other meeting dates that are part of you but this post office amended to cancel the July meeting but actually I would say that we're traveling to Jordan for SSI will be back by August 2nd for new need you to show anything on our calendar Anthony be teaching social studies at Shepherd High School is VA in history of minor geography from Chicago State University master of arts and secondary education from Lewis University currently a social studies teacher at Columbia Central Middle School in Steger Illinois he's a family man just returned home from whitewater rafting in Pigeon Forge Tennessee he was a college athlete and play basketball at Truman College in the city thank you Anthony Crystal Castillo will be teaching PE at Richards high school she has a bachelor's from Robert Morris University student Adat Eisenhower was a long-term sub at Eisenhower she coached and surpassed it eight years at Evergreen Park and Eisenhower she was member and leader of a college dance team to finish top 10 in the nation Jesse Gonzalez special ed teacher at Eisenhower High School is a masters of arts in special education from Saint Xavier University and a ba in history currently a sped teacher it's at District 135 he was an ATP coach here from December from 2017 to 2020 he played college football he was part of two Conference titles and fish top 10 in sacks defensive lineman in Saint Xavier University history Elizabeth Meraz lechuga art teacher she has her PA and secondary education of Visual Arts with the Paul universe she's doing Todd at Morgan Park High School she's a proud graduate and a fourth child sizing out for child to graduate from Eisenhower High School and she is the first college graduate her family from immigrant parents Thomas Murphy special ed teacher at Shepherd high school he has his Bachelor special at elementary education for Trinity Christian College masters of art behavior intervention specialist he's it was a Spinda a special education teacher at Southwest Cooke County Co-op Cooperative special education last four years he is a state championship group and turf when it And then after work to be a line item for supply chain or we see what we need to have a special school district and then looked at the money and after that starting with the pool of money and I'm working on that I hear you saying that that's not what the heck is that what I hear you saying but but against opinion so we're probably not going to agree to disagree on this phone I don't know I don't think there's enough effort being made towards that and if there was I would think one year out of the last 6 plus years had been on the board we would have a lot of years at least a tenth of a percent it's less than Jack and we never do and I understand what you're saying however you also stated that probe look at programs and see what programs can be hot do you mean what kind of programs are you know I might not be important you is definitely going to be important to a kid and kids need programs especially after coming out of a pandemic so I think ya can we re look at it however I think we need to look at it a wide view of not just what we think but like you said the constituents think in part of them are the kids reply to this that money and I think that I could $30,000 on we put it on in house first there's $30,000 right there when there's a lot of things you can go through I mean there's just a disagreement on an approach it doesn't just roll the budget over every year at all we do is ask the principal everybody that complaints when they're not getting the money in the resource is sometimes very nervous about never recapturing money that we would by reducing the Levi because it is for our kids and it's for our communities in schools represent the commutative property values and all those sorts of things so we were we just have a fundamental disagreement on it really I don't want to paint a picture that we're being Cavalier with the money and we're just wasting the money that's the last thing that we're doing we're trying to be as responsible as we can and when we put in a program we think it's going to help.
