Bill Christian is a board member is well this is your third year by year how many of you graciously attended our 10-year anniversary in the fall to celebrate the work that has been done over the years we have a few pictures up here that is growing throughout the night it was show me successful we have raised over $100,000 over those 10 years for scholarships for kids with different projects in the classroom scholarship for college scholarships for h v a c program CTE programs at Frank promotes and we give out many Grant every year to teachers for for resource that they may need their classroom whether it's you know something for our classroom or to go lineup a trip or anything that a teacher may need a request let me go to be up above and beyond maybe what we can put in our budget so awesome opportunities is the things that we do every year with our strategy as a golf outing in 7 we have our first trivia night and Incarnation I'll mr. Jacobson dr. Jacobs minute mr. Thank you Josh Regal Stonington Maine via presentation bite of earlier if you're going to go go ahead and introduce director of The Affair wellness clinic and dr. niaz I would die alone who is The Clinical Director we'd like to thank you for giving us this opportunity just approved at 7 things that we've done with in the Inspire Clinic I think that we just wanted to protect you some of the Brethren scope of Inspire Wellness on we have changed the name this year to the Inspire Wellness Clinic from inspiring psychology clinic pretty significant ways we have identified these services for students a lot of her students when they are seeking Services their evil either unable to find a provider or they are put on the way list four services and we just found that without the services of the individuals may not be able to meet with the picked up our overall mission and purpose is to bring necessary services to our families both in District 218 and in the Better Community we offer services to flow on the Eisenhower school as well as the school seeking outside an independent evaluation and parents that are the community that are sleeping resource some of the reasons they may have looked find me Services they may have some tough cases where the district Personnel have been unable to meet the needs of what's going on in the school and sometimes there's any involvement that they're looking for a little to be able to do what we do it we wanted to provide you kind of a compilation of all the members of our team in the Inspire clinic on what I was putting this together and work with the Inspire Clinic everyday pretty overwhelming for me just to look at all the people that we have to participate in what we do we have a tremendous array of people would just a tremendous amount of skills and background bring services to the inspire Inspire team also includes hartgrove Behavioral Health System we partner with them for counseling services outpatient services and it's wavy up from this year we also add Gateway Foundation which offer services to substance use disorder treatment and education they replace Rosecrans this year and we've been very real to have them not only working with our students and working with our parents but also for professional development staff the population that we serve we talked a little bit about this but we serve a number of different districts in the area we partner with our partner schools as well as schools that are in the larger community also offer services to parents that are seeking resources a lot of times were contacted by parents whose children may attend private schools in the area and were able to connect them with resources through the entire clinic so that they can get me things that we do we do a number of different thing we really sat down and thought about all the things that Inspire comes together to do one of the big things that we do is provide professional development within our district and we also reach out to partner schools to provide that substance used intervention are telemedicine which is this year and very exciting outpatient counseling the service with the partner schools in will of the community-at-large on psychoeducation neuropsychological assessment Pathways to hire intervention if we can't meet the needs here within the Inspire Clinic we have a number of people that can provide resources and work to engage families so that we can get all the services in the help that they need to help me with that some of the things that we treat their number different things between some of the things that are most frequently referred as depression and anxiety that something that often results and school refusal that's one of the areas that we serve through all of our different agencies that we work with grief and loss this year one of the big things with brain injuries we have a number of students that are coming to us because of concussions someone who has had multiple concussion experiencing memory loss and looking for recommendations to meet the need in order to help get through that situation we also work with tubes with anger management but there's so many more things that we dropped what are the agencies that we partner with of them is Inspire her Crow right now with these Services we have counseling both individual and family counseling that happens after hours here in District building we have on a flight at Eisenhower High School at. Summit Learning Center as well as here at the Ed Center the Inspire Wellness Clinic this year we added telemedicine Psychiatric Services they both of the alleyway the students and help with medication management one of the biggest things that we basement River students when they would come out in the hospital as they should have been given a month's worth of medicine in the area but wait to see a psychiatrist in order to get Med management without them three to six months so we need to address that need you can but we are finding it was revolving door if you didn't provide those services for the students usually they would wind up back half the life we wanted to stop that cycle telemedicine is at the Forefront what is the newest things that's happening in the industry information about what television station is the use of electronic information and tell communication Technologies it supports that long-distance clinical health care for the patient and for professional health related education what do you think that was really important to us as a district was that if you're going to do telemedicine we wanted somebody to be able to lay eyes on that stupid we didn't want it to just be that video conferencing so what happens here at the Aspire Clinic is we you have the video conferencing with the license psychiatrist or psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner on but we also have a medical assistant that is present on the site in person to be able to assist with taking a health history information and vital signs we also have a therapist here through her throat that before they go through the telemedicine appointment they do an intake in person with a therapist if it's going to be laying eyes on them and that can follow them and be able to observe what's going on the president all of the appointment but I think about her friend we started in January of 2016 we have one therapist working here one day a week currently we have 9 therapist we're in session. okay so we could go to Summit outpatient program in four days a week we have two days a week here at the Ed Center and we also have one day a week at Eisenhower High School lesson begin in October we do that once a week here at the fire wellness clinic and right now I need to expand that because we have grown significantly these are some of the numbers that we just wanted to put together to take a look at where we were the number of therapists in the spring of last year with seven in the fall of this year we moved and now we're up to 9 we have to onboarding so we'll be up to 11 to number of quarterly appointment we had 277 in the spring 260 in the fall where all the way up to 300 we open this up to our partner school be able to meet the needs of those students we know that production is the key to getting services for these students so we've been able to provide that and that's part of the reason for the job but also we could process number of referrals here in a little you know the number of referrals we don't like the kids that need help but at the same time we're able to address it if they leave their students that are getting the services that they need to know I just indicated the show Ray Show ratings basically the appointment schedule to tell me how many students attend those appointment social rates are phenomenal in the mental health World being able to bring the services Here Again tour district where they're accessible and quite frankly the parents and the students we all know that there's a little bit of Health Services has to be able to go into their school or going to their District we're kind of the Hub of the community and feel much more comfortable we have much better I think rate students attending need the telephone country appointment you can see we just started this in October we started with four we're up to 27 right now and I'm sure that number will increase the next time we get the date of what day did Porter like Cineport appointments that again it's just started at Delta Summit in the fall starting with 31 appointment Route 215 border is done. We haven't gotten for January yet I'm just a reflection for three months and then the average bill rate over all this just indicated there and this is my spine I got into this District I'm doing this longer than of The Clinical Director mode which is actually relatively you want to do in this for about 2 years so this is a separate umbilical form, do individual Counseling in the evenings after school for student three evenings a week but between Shepherd Richard working for SEPTA kind of like bridge the gap one of the reasons why I was reached out to and I began doing there be here a year-and-a-half ago or so is because of the population at Richards High School there's a significant segment of the population without Services I'm being able to open up services in convincing or allowing parents to feel a little bit more I said it was associated with a spool also had to redo some of the stigma of it cuz they're not taking their child to a hospital for say and then having to sit there and takes place in the evening of the school right afterwards and also how to reduce you accept because it's just stay after school and we'll time for their appointment and they might go study or something without immediately after school but that's something that's been a really valuable at another thing that we do if we been providing transportation for students who don't have abdomen to get to their appointment to therapy and so a lot of the emphasis is solution-focused and quantifiable and measurable benchmarking to paint like was enough actually making progress having access to the school something really peanut butter it's so closely with the with the social worker having that ability to speak Arabic in heaven made a pathway for that since the beginning of the school year we just put numbers from beginning of the school year I've had 16 referrals on those came from school social workers Visa can come directly from the community as well cuz they have the ability of the phone number to call me directly and Inspire and set up an appointment at 11 of the students see me regularly I'm building been rotating more lesson school started schedule 163 full session that actually shut up or was 124 which is a 76% sure it which is actually really good and I think that being able to ride the service in the way that we are inside the school has been the reason for the show rating so so good because I did have a private office and adolescents typically don't have as much consistency with their attendance when it comes to outside therapy connection oldest man alive another branch of the Aspire Clinic is the neuropsychology branch on we specialize in the assessment on a diagnosis and recommendations and consultation this is affecting the brain so what we bring into the inspired Clinic was that that list of the team members we have on psychological evaluations that are conducted by licensed clinical child psychologist with extensive training in neuropsychology in psychology those can be conducted by a referral from the school the whole school psychologist we also take referrals from parents a lot of times he have here is that called from districts that are headed even outside of our can you able to hook them up with resources are providers also take insurance to depending on what the situation is if it's not a District 218 students we can hook him up with resources and help them to kind of navigate to system are David that we have here and we broke it down by we have our Community School District 218 referral referral from the other districts that's also refer and then private referrals would be from Paris did those numbers that we have 16 from our district 8 from the Eisenhower Co-op one from another district and she's at a private number of consultations that we have we have to take if it's a specific neuropsychology issue will refer to an appropriate neuropsychologist this year I'm having dr. awadalla in the clinic has really been very helpful all these consultations have come through dr. Alla Del has a really more behavioral and he can go in and do observations in the classroom Factory staff helps you problem-solve on through this and provide recommendations so he said he's been referred for consultation and 18 consultations how far more than one consultation they play this year they began providing evaluations and psychoeducational services at the beginning of this school year. They replaced Rosecrans Services we currently in our district has two full-time certified alcohol drug counselor that are unsafe at Oliver campuses have days that they are in attendance there but if there's a problem that arises they've been very flexible to be neat at Gateway provide oversight on Supervision in case conceptualization for those counselors that are here so we have administrators from Gateway that come in and meet with the counselors every week just to make sure that were on tap and that we're meeting the needs of the students and providing recommendation they do a level of care assessment in one of the greatest things about Gateway is that they're able to kind of engage with his food and provide that person centered upon support throughout the process so if it's something that's beyond just like the way the patient with him at school we are referring to outpatient program who had two students referred to residential program and I think one of the greatest things about referrals to their program if they have a student that comes in there looking at any appropriate within the area and what might meet the need of a student into providing those resources for the parent the two students that refers to a residential did wind up going to the Gateway in Carbondale an Escalade completed that program the data that we have I think one of the most important things to look at how he ever after discharge we don't want to make sure that there's a first semester we didn't have any more pain I'm back into the program the total referralcandy unfortunately we do kind of have that more than we'd like to see but at least we have people that are on site able to address it immediately and provide some of that I'm guessing they gave me didn't think before he even moved I'm looking for the Steven R O my okay so this is actually the other half of the staff that already works with in school end you know I start off with this Back to Basics are reviewing the fundamentals of clinical intervention because the social worker being able to repay reprimanded text Hope you're performing those roles and talking about the strategies that are solutions focused and read that that would best fit the environment what we know and how do we apply it I took some surveys to find out what the different clinical orientations are of the of the different social workers and counselors that were working because there's lots of different models of intervention that one can a spouse when they're performing of interventions I want to see where we were people's Comfort level what types of interventions and what they used most frequently I took them through and talked about working on self-awareness and what they were so I conducted a survey I wanted to find out what their clinical strength where I want to find out what's up when it says they had about populations that they struggle by struggle with students for example demonstrating symptom play some depression do I struggle with students with externalizing behavior and what sorts of interventions are appropriate for a student demonstrations you know those symptoms so if you look here this is results of a survey in which they talk about how often they see these different things so suicidal homicidal ideation you can save significant experience and deal with this on a regular basis to Orange bar represent how often they see if so how was very popular play 1290 Panic moderate experience Oppositional Defiant behaviors aggression and then Depression was very high so when I saw this data me developing a database for all of the clinicians to use that has over a hundred validity tested and solution focused interventions that they can use this includes audio and visual stuff as well take me back with a pseudonym therapist which popular Ghostbuster soap what does Elena have a high definition and example that's a good self regulation skills through the I guess the overarching theme that I've taken start working with our staff here is how we have to be imparting some self-regulation skills to the students osyka education really important each student to self regulate Placer High School refusal being able to train the student on how to recognize the sequence that is leaving cuz I'm feeling dysregulated like developing a strategy to address. We also offer for employees and employee assistance program Augusta Mobile Solutions with Mark wichman employee assistance program Clinic continues to see about five to seven clients these days it is open they see that can get me high school district can staff and families it was open a total of 13 days from August through November currently the clinic is at maximum capacity for the one day of the week at their opening open and we're exploring ways with family services this is just the numbers on the clinic and again given that the bulk of the people that are seeing here in the clinic they're working during the day so it's mostly evening so Panama and awesome rate of plants. during the day and then the number of hours provided I'm in therapy and again the day for work I'd like to really thank you for allowing us to do this presentation I question all the resources that we have is Cutting Edge Barber doing is cutting edge are the second School District I think in Illinois to do the tile Psychiatry we're very very lucky to have it very difficult to get to get someone to do that or students are Bernie Mev Wheatley I think otherwise Josh is doing a phenomenal job instruction but the kids not there when they have these issues that are holding them from learning we are so lucky to have a School District board members that support us in and help. this way so that they can take and then the savings are estimated as I mentioned and the important thing is the savings and turn present value divided by the bonds refunding kind of the bang for the buck is the ratio that we looked at in we like to see that ratio North 5% and it's currently at 6.64% I think it's also dimensions of those babies are after hang any profit issues, so those are not so I'll just pause here and see if
