Ecology

This course is taught as two semesters, each with a different focus.

 

Semester 1 is focused on Environmental perspectives on ecology. This semester will focus on natural resources, energy, climate change, atmospheric science, and waste management. Students are expected to utilize the scientific method learned through previous science courses and be self-motivated to learn about the interactions between creatures and their environments.

 

Semester 2 is focused on Biological perspectives on ecology.This one semester elective course will focus on evolution, biodiversity, population studies, and species interactions. Students are expected to utilize the scientific method learned through previous science courses and be self-motivated to learn about the interactions between creatures and their environments.
