Assistant Superintendent

Dr. Feeney is currently Assistant Superintendent of Special Services and Instructional Engagement. In her position, she oversees all special services and special programming including support services, special education and at-risk programming. Dr. Feeney works directly with the Instructional Services Department as well regarding instructional programming and professional development.
 
Dr. Feeney has been in CHSD 218 since 1991, and has had the pleasure of working at all buildings in the district, first as a social worker at both Richards and Shepard, then Dean, Assistant Principal and Associate Principal at Eisenhower, Principal of Summit and Delta, then Director of Special Services at the Administration Center before becoming Assistant Superintendent. Dr Feeney received her Bachelors degree from the University of Chicago, a Masters from Loyola University, a Masters from University of Illinois at Chicago, and her Doctorate in Special Education from Illinois State University.
 
Dr. Feeney is a life long learner and continues to pursue education through reading books, periodicals, and attending conferences and workshops. Dr. Feeney spends her free time enjoying the company of her family including her husband, two daughters, a dog and a horse.
