Andrea Azzo
Andrea Azzo has served as the Public Information Specialist at CHSD 218 since January 2025. She is focused on ensuring strategic communications and highlighting the many accomplishments of District 218 students.
Before joining the district, Andrea was the Senior Communications Coordinator at the Northwestern University Center for Advancing Safety of Machine Intelligence (CASMI), a research hub focused on operationalizing safety in artificial intelligence. She spent the bulk of her career in local television news as a producer and executive producer in markets including Austin, Texas; Kalamazoo, Michigan; and Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Andrea earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from Northern Illinois University. She has two children, is an avid baseball fan, and loves chocolate.
