Buildings and Grounds

The Buildings and Grounds (B&G) Department is dedicated to maintaining a safe, clean, efficient, and welcoming learning environment across the district. Through the coordinated efforts of our custodial, grounds, maintenance, and management teams, we ensure that district facilities and outdoor spaces are well-maintained and ready to support student learning, staff success, and community use.

Our Responsibilities

The B&G Department works collaboratively with district administrators, principals, and the district architect to identify, evaluate, and prioritize major renovations, facility improvements, and equipment replacements. District maintenance staff handle daily repairs and routine maintenance, while qualified outside contractors are engaged for larger projects and specialized work.

Additional responsibilities include developing capital improvement plans and budgets, overseeing construction and renovation projects, maintaining district infrastructure, and addressing environmental concerns. Through proactive planning and ongoing maintenance, the department strives to preserve district facilities and support the long-term needs of our schools and community.
