AP Physics 1

AP Physics I is the algebra-based equivalent to a first semester course. This course covers Newtonian mechanics (including rotational dynamics and angular momentum); 1-D and 2-D kinematics; work, energy and power; mechanical waves and sound. It will introduce electricity and electric circuits. The Advanced Placement test designed by College Board will be taken by the students in May. Successfully passing the Advanced Placement exam may result in earned college credit for the individual student.
