Grading & Dress Policy

 CHSD 218 Physical Education Grading Policy


CUAs and Core Curriculum: 35% of the semester grade

  • Exit tickets, reflections, etc.


Participation & Preparation:  65% of the semester grade

  • Students receive a weekly grade for participation & preparation (5 points per day):
  • In alignment with our state and national standards, our goal as a PE department is to help students achieve MVPA daily and to strive to learn the value of lifelong physical activity. Therefore, all students are expected to participate daily in PE. 
  • Students can make-up excused absences. Please see your teacher for make-up opportunities. 
  • PE Uniforms - Students are expected to be dressed for PE in their PE uniform.  Uniforms can be purchased from the Athletic Office or a student can rent a uniform (.50/piece) in the PE locker room.
  • Uniform
    • Shoes that are safe for activity (crocs, sandals, boots, or any other footwear that is not safe for activity will not be permitted. A student will receive a “0” for the day and will need to sit out if in unsafe footwear). Students will not be allowed to participate in Crocs.
    • CHSD 218 PE shirt
    • CHSD 218 PE shorts OR teacher approved athletic bottoms (bottoms must be athletic shorts, sweatpants, or plain black athletic leggings).
