school board meeting of District 218 regular board meeting is Thursday March 19th 20/20 vision is being held at the District Administrative Center at 6:30 and some of the board members are calling in audio in. Using blue jeans to hold a meeting to the fact of the severity of the coronavirus or the cold it 19 but it has a few names and it's at endemic and we want to take the car auction for the public to be held it with the count of 10 I believe so I don't know if we have an audience or not but first of all I would ask Miss cats to take a bolt call please I don't have any thing to document the real calls it okay. Collier Chucky the motion carries raises down to agenda item number seven is old business and we do not have any old business this evening to agenda item number eight is reports to the superintendent we do not have any reports to the superintendent this evening number nine is a new business and we would go down to 9 be is a recommended recommendation for a bid number 1482 Synthetic Turf field installation for Eisenhower School Richards high school and Shepard High School action item I'm just going to ask for first and second but before I do that I asked the doctor hurting earlier today if we would be able to cuz it is a bit confusing cuz there's three of them to vote on this evening relating to turf field so it was a short explanation of each agenda item and then if anybody wants to discuss it or we can just go ahead and do a vote on it but I think we need an explanation I need to run and then ministration will supply that for us so if I could have a first please Tennessee second okay I have a first and a second thoughts of hurting gift somebody wants to explain number one Suite 9B please Noto and I believe rich is the architecture also connector if you have plans simply is the lobe we opened up the kids the other day happy actually with T-Mobile that we received about a million dollars less than we have been anticipating a company called integral was the company that won the bid and we are recommending that we except that bid so that is be when we get to see and I can clarify this one gets to see was simply a request to purchase the installation of the chirp through a cooperative not the truth itself at the installation of the Turpin this was a company that we had spoken to the board about Byrne and Jones and we are recommending that we were jacked that request to purchase installation through the coop hey Kim and substantially higher than integral did through the normal bid process and then when you get down to that is a request to purchase the turf that will be installed through operative that's Midwest Turf or going to recommend that request to purchase the terp through a Cooperative so the first one is the actual bydlo bid that were how many weeks apt C is we're recommending that we reject see that was an outside company boy to a Cooperative to put in mature for us and then D we're recommending that we accept the bid or the the request to purchase the turf through a Cooperative so if anybody needs to add anything please do so now I believe that pretty much sums I tried it a nice job disagree is it is it what you like it would you like us to just have all three in the form of one motion or would you like them all separate okay and I'm very excited we're going to head butterfly vote tonight last time it came up from prior board members that last time we had the surface you'll be paused on it because of the recession of 2008 and now I'm Fairfield a transferring possibly another recession or God forbid it defrost in and then we're going to be having these turf fields and people losing their jobs and their homes and we're for putting Turf out there on the field so we may be answering the same economic crisis that we had last time that's her what was an issue so maybe something that you know unfortunately it's bedtime and I assume these but I I can't believe it's happening potentially again just like it did I was told last time that this board addressed it after the 2008 crisis so just a common I don't think it was as much of the depression I think it was the cost it was it was like four times the cost they were they were looking at now and they've come a long way with a ghost at the time and as it turns out there was a higher incidence of of soccer goalie made for human contact take that off due diligence we waited in the early adopters that I think that it's the timings right that time cuz I was I would agree to endorse this to be passed off the I'm also ready and I will probably the only two the fact that there were on the the pricing was a lot more and obviously health reasons so I am definitely going to support this and I would ask support to support it also are there any more I'll be supportive to I just saw someone selling message test me before it's one of the reasons so thank you make your other as Ronnie Ward Goshen on this item would you please take about I'd like some ocean that we accept item b as in boy second all right mr. Stokes, I believe I believe today first I believe is the day they go back to school so regardless I think that the governor of the state of Illinois is a handle the situation and the mayor of Chicago has done a great job of handling the situation when it's Illinois and someone has followed we have to follow the the rule of the governor of the state of Illinois and I think was he mayor I can do that I'm sure that he will not be sunny back seat building at the end of March to our schools I believe will probably see I will be taking more wait and see approach but I'm sure that day will be definitely be safe before they lift the the band not having school and the other part is I what's the board and everybody in the school district to please be safe and stay well so that is it and that was there's no more comments okay so I need a motion to adjourn this meeting please we are officially adjourned thank you very much for your time and they won't go stay safe
